Love, lust and madness all play into the magic and the mayhem of Shakespeare’s timeless and hilarious comedy. Lovers are mischievously fooled into shifting their fidelities, bumbling actors are cast under a puckish spell, and the gods of nature spin unearthly fantasies in order to get what they want. All of this enchantment takes place under the moonlight in the primordial forest, where nothing, not even true love, is really what it seems.
The Earl Haig production features original music performed by the Claude Watson orchestra with dancers, aerialists, gymnasts and actors. A conceptual set, mystical costumes, and ethereal masks also are highlights of the spectacle and pageantry.
The company features over a hundred incredibly talented students and teachers with original music composed by Alan Torok, choreography by Tara Blight, direction by Jan Kish, Technical Direction by Rob Cameron and Executive Production by Frances Lue.
