If you haven’t picked up your timetable as yet? You can come on the first day of school, which is Tuesday September 7th at 10:00 a.m. to the small gym to pick it up and pay your fees.

Skills Canada Toronto Competition Results

Skills Canada is a set of Technical Skills Competitions held every year. In late March, Earl Haig students competed in various competitions held throughout the city. Congratulations to Angela Pan for winning the bronze medal in the Desktop publishing competition. In the graphic competition, Earl Haig’s Steven Gans won the gold. In Flash 2d Animation the team of Jee-Yoon Park and Colin Anderson received the Gold medal. For Video Production the team of Jake Leder and Becca McGlashan won silver while of Ivana Dizdar and Johanna Nikoletus won the gold medal and placed top in Toronto for their score.

Steven Gans now moves on to the Provincial competitions in may while the winners in video and animation have a regional qualifying competition. Congratulations to all the students for competing and to their teachers for preparing them so well.

18 De Rien Avenue – Tickets

Congratulations to the cast and crew of 18 De Rien Avenue for winning four prestigious awards for its performance at the District Level of the Sears Ontario Drama Festival:

OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR ACTING – Nathaniel Rose
AWARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR PLAYWRITING – Aviva Philipp-Muller
AWARD OF MERIT FOR MUSICAL IMPROVISATION – David Madras and Sean McKinnon

As an Outstanding Production the play will now be featured at the Toronto Regional Showcase on Friday, April 9 at 7 p.m. where it will compete with eight other productions in order to advance to the Provincial Showcase.
