 This week, the Library Learning Commons will continue to work with grade 11 SAP courses as well as Family Studies, ESL-D, and ESL-E students.

For this research lesson students will investigate a social sciences topic and produce a public service bulletin that examines the topic from either an anthropological, psychological or sociological viewpoint.  Student will investigate topics using, among others, the GALE Virtual Reference Library E-Books for our collection (UN/PW in agenda).

Library features April 15 – 19

This week, the library will be teaching ESL-D students how to use MS Photo Story (available on all school computers – and free to download)  to bring images to life in video format.  Check out the video tutorial below.  In addition, we will continue to be working with SAP classes on researching topics for their summative, using the e-books and various databases such as Teen Health and Wellness (see agenda for UN/PWs)

No lunchtime class are scheduled for this week at this time.

Persian-American Author visits this Friday

Persian-American author, Anita Amirrezvani will visit this Friday, Oct. 19th in the library at Period 3.  If you are interested, be sure to tell your Day 4, Per 3 teacher and come join us for this great opportunity to meet a renowned  writer.

Please note:  the library will be closed for this special event.

Anita Amirrezvani is the author of the novel Blood of Flowers which has been published in more than twenty-five languages and was longlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction. She teaches at the California College of the Arts and Sonoma State University.” (simonandschuster.ca)  Her latest book is Equal of the Sun.
