I’ve always thought of Susan Juby as a light-hearted, humourous author of teen fiction (Alice I Think, Miss Smithers, Another Kind of Cowboy, Getting the Girl). What I didn’t realize is that she spent most of her teen years coping with life by abusing drugs and alcohol. She talks quite frankly about what happened to her in her latest book, an autobiography entitled Nice Recovery.
