New program at Earl Haig for 2010

ELOY is an enrichment program, new to Earl Haig for the school year 2010-2011, and is open exclusively to Earl Haig students who have completed four years of study. There are four components to the program: real world work connections; additional high school courses; post-secondary study; and an option for travel.

  • to gain a more mature perspective on study and career options
  • to set oneself up for success after high school
  • to allow students entering high school an option to tailor a pathway that meets their needs

Four components to ELOY

  • Internship: students will be placed in an internship program (e.g. hospitals, law firms) or paid co-op work experience
  • In-school courses: students will take 2-to-4 courses at Earl Haig, some of which may be new and exclusive to ELOY students like Arts Management, Collaborative Arts, Health Sciences or Media.
  • University/College credit: students will enroll or audit 1-2 university or college credit courses
  • Travel (optional): students will have the opportunity to participate in a travel experience.
