Did you know Earl Haig is an EcoSchool?
There are over 500 certified EcoSchools across Ontario and Earl Haig is one of them! That means that our community has committed to taking action towards environmental conservation and promoting environmental education.
The following are just some of the initiatives we have started here at Earl Haig to tackle each of the four pillars of EcoSchools: Energy Conservation, Waste Reduction, School Yard Greening, and Ecological Literacy.
What can YOU do as a teacher?
- Get recognition for the work you are already doing: anytime you and your class start an environmentally-related activity, initiative, or lesson, make sure you submit it towards our EcoSchool program.
